When you’re running a high-speed SACMI rotary line, you don’t have a second to waste. The heating window is tiny. If those IR lamps take too long to hit the right temperature, you’re looking at uneven preforms and wall thickness that’s all over the place. It’s a headache nobody needs. That’s why we built our replacement IR radiators to kill that startup lag. Getting up to speed—fast It comes down to physics, but we keep it simple. We tweaked the tungsten halogen blend and the quartz envelope so the lamps hit peak radiance in milliseconds. It’s fast. Really fast. And that means your machine can keep a high frequency without burning through energy just trying to warm up. No guesswork on the fit These are true drop-in replacements. We stuck exactly to the original SACMI footprint, so you don’t have to mess around with alignment in the oven. We also used high-grade quartz glass. Why? Because cheap glass bows under extreme heat, and that ruins your consistency. Plus, whether you’re on standard voltage or pushing high wattage, the current stays steady. No flickering, just a clean, constant heat. A word of warning on the heat Here’s the thing: pushing more wattage into a shorter tube creates a lot of thermal stress, especially at the ends of the lamp. You’ve got to keep your cooling blowers clean. If your airflow is choked, these high-output lamps will burn out at the seals way faster than they should. Keep the air moving, and the lamps will last. Swapping them out We used standard industrial connectors to make the swap a breeze. Just pull the old tube, wire it up, and dial in your PID controllers. Since these run hotter to keep your cycle times tight, do yourself a favor: check the contact points for oxidation every 500 hours. It takes two minutes, but it stops those annoying voltage drops before they start.
