Stop Overpaying for Krones Contiform Heating Modules
Let’s be honest: running a Krones Contiform line is a beast. The maintenance alone can eat your budget alive, and the preform heating oven is usually where the biggest headaches start. When those heating modules finally burn out, the quote for OEM replacements is often enough to make you wince. It’s just too expensive. That’s why we make drop-in replacement modules. They do the exact same job as the originals, but they won’t break the bank. Getting the heat just right If you’ve spent any time on the floor, you know the struggle. You need enough infrared energy to hit that glass transition temperature, but if you overdo it, you’re just scorching the plastic. We use high-wattage quartz halogen tech to make sure the heat actually penetrates the PET wall instead of just sitting on the surface. But here’s the thing: you have to balance your power with your cycle times. Sure, cranking up the wattage lets you run the line faster. But that puts a lot of stress on your electrical contacts. To stop your sockets from pitting or melting when things get hot, we beefed up the terminals. The fit matters (a lot) We use high-purity quartz glass so the tubes don’t fail prematurely. We also coat them to shift the IR spectrum. This keeps the heat focused on the body of the preform, rather than wasting it on the neck or the stretch rod. And the fit? It’s exact. You can wire these in without messing with the chassis or fiddling with the reflector angles. That’s huge. If a reflector is off by even a couple of millimeters, you get cold spots. Then you’re dealing with uneven wall thickness in your bottles, and suddenly you’ve got a whole new problem on your hands. A quick heads-up These modules pack a serious punch. Just keep in mind that if you push the wattage to boost your throughput, the inside of that oven is going to get hot. Really hot. Make sure your cooling blowers are actually clean and doing their job. If the airflow is choked, you’re risking your wiring and you’ll kill the life of the lamps way faster than you should.
